Hi Erin, As you know the Colonial name for Ghana was the Gold Coast. My father during world war II was stationed in Port Harcourt, Nigeria in the British army and spent a little time in Accra prior to the move. Have you visited this webpage? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gold_Coast_(British_colony)
This summer I am going on foreign exchange for a month to Ghana. This is my blog about my progress fundraising for the trip and also, hopefully, a place to document my trip while I'm there and when I get back.
I'm 19 years old and I now attend UC Santa Barbara. I am a biology major and I like to run. I went on foreign exchange to Ghana before my senior year in high school and it was the best experience ever. I am still involved with AFS and my family has hosted a couple of exchange students.
